Warm Spell to Continue in UAE Before Temperatures Dip and Winds Pick Up

Date:

High Pressure Keeps Skies Clear; Stronger Winds and Rough Seas Expected by Monday

Dubai: An extension of a surface and upper-air high-pressure system will keep weather conditions across the UAE generally fair to partly cloudy over the coming days, with temperatures gradually rising before a cooler and windier spell sets in early next week, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Today’s weather is expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, accompanied by a slight increase in temperatures and humid conditions at night. Mist formation is possible by Friday morning in some coastal areas.

Winds will be light to moderate, reaching speeds of up to 30 km/h. Seas will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea. Temperatures are forecast to reach 33–34°C in coastal and internal areas, while mountainous regions may see highs of up to 23°C.

From Friday through Sunday, similar conditions are expected to prevail, with continued humidity and the likelihood of patchy mist during late-night and early-morning hours. Winds are forecast to freshen at times, particularly by Sunday evening, when north-westerly winds are expected to strengthen. This shift will cause sea conditions to deteriorate from slight or moderate to rough — and at times very rough — especially in the Arabian Gulf.

By Monday, temperatures are expected to drop noticeably. Fresh to strong north-westerly winds may raise dust and sand, while seas are likely to remain rough before gradually easing later in the day.
