Jebel Jais Fully Reopens — No Entry Permit Required
Visitors can now drive up to Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest peak, without an entry permit, making the mountain more accessible than ever. Authorities confirmed on February 11 that all scenic viewpoints, outdoor attractions, and dining venues are open to the public.
The destination had been temporarily closed earlier this season after heavy rains damaged sections of the mountain road, prompting authorities to restrict access for safety reasons. In the weeks that followed, the mountain partially reopened with entry controls and specific access rules in place, allowing limited visitor movement while repair and safety assessments were carried out. With restoration works now complete, all restrictions have been lifted and normal access has resumed.
Visitors planning to dine at 1484 by Puro, the UAE’s highest restaurant, must present a confirmed reservation upon arrival. Red Rock BBQ has also reopened, welcoming guests with its full à la carte menu. All other attractions, viewpoints, and leisure experiences remain open, allowing visitors to enjoy the cooler mountain climate and natural surroundings at their own pace.
The Jais Sky Tour, the mountain’s multi-zipline adventure, will officially reopen on February 18, operating Wednesdays to Sundays and on public holidays at 9:30 am, 11:30 am, and 2:00 pm.
