United Arab Emirates prepares for a dusty weekend as temperatures see a slight drop.

Date:

Dusty winds, slightly cooler temperatures, and possible fog are forecast across parts of the United Arab Emirates.

United Arab Emirates is expected to experience generally fair weather on Saturday, though dusty conditions and strong winds in some areas may reduce visibility and make sea conditions rough, according to the National Center of Meteorology.

The forecast indicates that a weak surface low-pressure system extending from the east, combined with a western high-pressure system and an upper-level high-pressure extension, will influence the country’s weather conditions. Dusty winds, slightly cooler temperatures, and possible fog are also expected in parts of the UAE.

Temperatures are expected to ease slightly compared to recent days across the United Arab Emirates. Coastal and island areas are forecast to record highs between 32°C and 38°C, while inland regions may see temperatures ranging from 38°C to 42°C. Mountain areas are expected to remain comparatively cooler, with highs between 27°C and 31°C.

The National Center of Meteorology said conditions across the United Arab Emirates will be generally fair but occasionally dusty, especially in western areas, as light to moderate winds strengthen intermittently. Winds shifting between southwesterly and northwesterly directions may reach speeds of up to 40 km/h, leading to blowing dust and sand and reduced visibility during the day.

Sea conditions are expected to be moderate to rough at times in the Arabian Gulf, particularly toward the western areas, while remaining slight in the Oman Sea.

On Sunday, weather across the United Arab Emirates is expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds forming toward the east. Humidity is forecast to increase overnight and into Monday morning across some coastal and inland areas, raising the chance of mist and fog, particularly in western regions.

The National Center of Meteorology said winds on Sunday will be light to moderate, occasionally freshening, with speeds between 10 and 25 km/h and reaching up to 40 km/h at times. Sea conditions are expected to gradually improve, becoming slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf.

On Monday, temperatures are likely to rise slightly under partly cloudy skies, while humid conditions may persist overnight into Tuesday morning in some coastal areas. Winds will remain moderate, occasionally strengthening during the day, shifting from southeasterly to northeasterly directions.

From Tuesday through Wednesday, fair to partly cloudy conditions are expected to continue, with intermittent cloud formation in eastern areas. Winds will stay light to moderate, shifting between southeasterly and northwesterly directions, while sea conditions are forecast to remain slight across both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
