Convective clouds may bring rain to eastern areas from Tuesday through Friday.
Abu Dhabi: Parts of the UAE could see rain on Tuesday, with unsettled weather conditions expected to persist through the end of the working week as convective clouds develop over eastern areas.
The National Centre of Meteorology forecasts fair to partly cloudy conditions on Tuesday, with convective clouds likely to form over eastern areas in the afternoon and bring a chance of rainfall. Temperatures are also expected to decrease, particularly in western parts of the country.
Dubai is expected to record a high of 43°C and a low of 31°C, while Abu Dhabi will see temperatures reach 41°C, with a minimum of 28°C. The highest temperature is forecast in Liwa at 45°C, followed by Al Ain at 44°C.
Humidity is expected to rise on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist in some coastal and inland areas. Winds will generally be light to moderate but could strengthen at times over western waters, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h.
Unsettled conditions are forecast to continue on Wednesday, with convective clouds potentially developing over eastern areas in the afternoon and bringing rain. Winds may also strengthen at times, kicking up dust across western areas, while the Arabian Gulf could become rough at times, particularly in the west.
On Thursday, rain-bearing convective clouds are again expected to develop over eastern areas during the afternoon, accompanied by a further drop in temperatures. Fog or mist may form in some coastal and inland areas overnight and into Friday morning, while winds could reach 40 km/h and stir up dust.
Conditions on Friday are forecast to remain fair to partly cloudy, with hazy conditions at times and another chance of afternoon rainfall as convective clouds develop over eastern areas. Humidity is expected to rise overnight in some western areas, while strengthening winds could continue to cause blowing dust.
