UAE weather forecast: Temperatures set to reach 46°C amid dust, humidity and lingering low clouds

Date:

From Friday, inland temperatures are expected to rise as stronger winds stir dust across western regions.

Dubai: Temperatures across the UAE are forecast to rise to 46°C inland this week, with fresh winds expected to stir blowing dust, coastal humidity persisting, and a further increase in heat from Friday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The NCM said Wednesday’s weather will be fair to partly cloudy, especially over northern and eastern areas, with light to moderate south-westerly to north-westerly winds strengthening at times to 35 km/h. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 41°C and 46°C inland, 37°C to 41°C along the coast and islands, and 31°C to 37°C in the mountains.

From Thursday, low clouds are expected to form over the east coast, while fresh north-westerly to south-westerly winds may lift blowing dust across western areas. Temperatures are forecast to rise, especially inland, from Friday, with slight sea conditions expected in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea through Saturday.

On Sunday, winds are expected to strengthen further, reaching up to 40 km/h at times and raising blowing dust, while the Arabian Gulf is forecast to turn slight to moderate, with slight sea conditions in the Oman Sea.
