Date:

NCM Forecasts Showers in Eastern UAE, with Blowing Dust and Possible Fog.

Dubai: The UAE is set to experience five days of unsettled weather, with rain possible until Monday, November 2, and winds reaching speeds of 50km/h in mountainous areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

In its latest weather bulletin, the NCM forecast fair to partly cloudy conditions today, with convective clouds expected to develop over northern and eastern areas. These clouds may extend to some inland regions, bringing a chance of rainfall.

Winds will be light to moderate, becoming fresh to strong at times as clouds develop and potentially causing blowing dust. South-easterly to north-easterly winds are expected to reach 35km/h along the coast, 45km/h inland and 50km/h in mountainous areas.

Temperatures are forecast to range between 35°C and 39°C in inland areas, 33°C and 37°C along the coast and on islands, and 26°C and 32°C in mountainous regions.

Humidity is expected to rise overnight and into Friday morning across some coastal and inland areas, particularly in the west, increasing the possibility of mist formation.

On Friday, fair to partly cloudy conditions will continue, with convective clouds potentially bringing rain to eastern areas. Winds may reach 40km/h, while rising humidity overnight and into Saturday morning could lead to mist in western areas.

Similar conditions are forecast for Saturday, with a chance of showers in eastern regions and winds reaching speeds of up to 40km/h.

On Sunday, November 1, convective clouds may develop over eastern areas, bringing further chances of rainfall. Increased humidity overnight and into Monday morning could result in fog or mist across some coastal and inland regions.

Unsettled conditions are expected to persist on Monday, November 2, with another chance of rain in eastern areas. Fog or mist may also develop overnight and continue into Tuesday morning.

Winds are forecast to reach speeds of up to 40km/h from Friday through Monday.

Despite the unsettled weather, sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea throughout the five-day period.

The NCM attributed the weather pattern to an extension of a surface low-pressure system, accompanied by an upper-air low-pressure system.
