UAE Weather Alert: Temperatures Set to Reach 47°C Amid Forecast of Rain and Fog

Date:

Rain-Bearing Clouds Expected After Weekend as Fog and Mist May Persist Until Tuesday.

Dubai: Temperatures across parts of the UAE are expected to climb as high as 47°C on Thursday, while some eastern and southern regions could experience rainfall on Monday due to the development of convective clouds, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The weather on Thursday is expected to remain generally clear to partly cloudy, with cloud formations developing over eastern and western parts of the country. Some of these clouds may become convective during the afternoon.

Temperatures in inland regions are predicted to range between 41°C and 47°C, while coastal areas and islands could experience maximum temperatures of 37°C to 43°C.

Humidity levels are expected to rise during Thursday night and into Friday morning, particularly across certain coastal and inland locations. These conditions may lead to the formation of fog or mist, potentially reducing visibility in affected areas.

Wind speeds could reach 35 km/h across inland and mountainous regions.

On Friday, the UAE is forecast to experience mostly fair to partly cloudy skies, with additional cloud development over eastern areas during the afternoon.

Humidity is likely to increase again overnight, creating favourable conditions for fog or mist to develop during the early hours of Saturday.

Saturday’s weather is expected to remain partly cloudy, with afternoon cloud formations over eastern regions potentially developing into convective clouds.

Similar weather patterns are anticipated on Sunday, particularly across eastern and southern parts of the country, where convective cloud activity may increase during the afternoon.

Meanwhile, residents could continue to experience fog or mist during the early morning hours, especially in areas with elevated humidity levels.

The possibility of rainfall is expected to increase on Monday as convective clouds develop across eastern and southern parts of the UAE during the afternoon. Some areas may experience showers, while wind speeds could reach up to 35 km/h.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the country’s current weather conditions are influenced by a weak surface pressure system, along with the extension of a weak low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere.
