UAE weather update: Clear skies continue as temperatures remain high.
Dubai: Temperatures across the UAE are expected to reach 49°C in inland areas on Wednesday, with fresh winds likely to stir up dust in exposed locations, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The forecast indicates fair to partly cloudy skies, especially across eastern and northern parts of the country, while overall weather conditions are expected to remain stable.
Coastal areas and islands are expected to record daytime temperatures between 39°C and 44°C, while inland areas could see highs ranging from 44°C to 49°C. Mountain regions will remain cooler, with temperatures forecast to stay between 33°C and 38°C.
Southwesterly to northwesterly winds of 10–25kph are expected, occasionally strengthening to 40kph, which may lead to reduced visibility in areas affected by dust. Sea conditions will remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.
The weather pattern is expected to remain largely unchanged in the coming days, with mostly clear skies continuing and some low cloud formations possible over eastern areas during the morning.
Winds are expected to shift to a northwesterly direction before gradually turning southeasterly. They will ease slightly on Thursday and Friday, with speeds of 10–20kph, before strengthening again over the weekend, reaching up to 35kph at times.
Sea conditions will remain generally slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, though the Arabian Gulf may turn slight to moderate by Sunday.
Temperatures are not expected to ease significantly, with hot and typically humid summer conditions continuing across much of the UAE.
