Motorists driving from Sharjah towards Dubai faced heavy traffic on Wednesday morning.
Dubai Police advised motorists in a tweet to take extra care on the roads due to congestion at Business Bay crossing from Rashidiya towards Bur Dubai.
An accident on E44 Al Warqa road to Ras Al Khor area caused huge tailbacks,
Another accident was reported on E44 road near Al Quoz 4 caused delays towards Dubai.
Roads were also congested in the areas around the Al Rashidiya area, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Investments Park, Jumeirah Village Circle and along Shaikh Zayed Road towards World Trade Centre.
Traffic was also slow along on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from Sharjah Industrial Area towards Dubai.
