Live traffic updates show major congestion near airports and industrial zones.

Dubai: Motorists in Dubai and Sharjah faced heavy traffic in several areas on Thursday morning, July 16, as major roads experienced slow movement during the peak commuting hours, according to live traffic updates.
In Dubai, heavy congestion was reported along Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and nearby connecting roads around Al Garhoud, Al Qusais and Deira, with live traffic maps showing slow-moving sections near Dubai International Airport and Madina Mall. Traffic near Ras Al Khor was also affected, with delays reported at the interchange linking Al Ain Road (E44) to Dubai Design District and Nad Al Sheba, where a traffic build-up was visible near the roundabout.
In Sharjah, commuters on Emirates Road (E311) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road faced significant delays, especially around Industrial Area 6 and University City, where multiple congestion zones indicated slow or near-stationary traffic. Routes towards Sharjah International Airport and Hay Al Badee also showed signs of disruption, with road incidents or closures contributing to delays.
Motorists travelling between Dubai and Sharjah during the morning rush are advised to allow extra travel time, especially along E311 and E44, and check live traffic updates before starting their journey.
