UAE students warned of “no CBSE question paper leaks” as exams commence today.

Date:

The board has urged schools, parents, students, and all stakeholders to stay vigilant.

As the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams commence today, the Board has strongly urged students, parents, and all stakeholders not to be misled by rumours of question paper leaks. Over 4.6 million students from India and abroad, including those in the UAE, are scheduled to take the exams.

A senior official told Indian news agency PTI, “As observed in the past, certain unscrupulous elements try to mislead students and parents by spreading fake news on various social media platforms during the exams.”

“Such misinformation often involves false claims of question paper leaks and the circulation of purported question papers for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations.”

Don’t be misled by fake news

“The CBSE strongly urges parents, students, schools, and all concerned stakeholders to remain vigilant and not be misled by unverified news, rumours, or fake information.”

The Class 10 exams will conclude on March 10, while the Class 12 exams are set to finish on April 9. Class 10 students will sit for the Mathematics exam, and Class 12 exams are scheduled for four subjects: Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, Shorthand (Hindi), and Shorthand (English).

“Believing, engaging with, or sharing such baseless content can create unnecessary anxiety and confusion and may negatively impact students’ preparedness at this crucial stage,” the official noted.

Today, Class 10 students will sit for the Mathematics exam, while Class 12 exams are scheduled for four subjects: Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, Shorthand (Hindi), and Shorthand (English).

The Board has advised students to arrive at their examination centres on time, factoring in local traffic, weather, and travel distance.
“All students are advised to leave home early to ensure they reach the examination centre well ahead of time, as per CBSE instructions,” the official added.
