Municipal authorities across the UAE ramped up field and emergency response measures to tackle rainfall and unstable weather, intensifying efforts to protect public facilities, maintain traffic flow, and ensure efficient stormwater drainage.
In Al Dhafra, municipal emergency teams responded to 420 cases in just 12 hours as part of a proactive operational plan, achieving a full recovery rate.
Officials said the effects of moderate-to-heavy rainfall across the region have been completely resolved, with crews removing fallen trees and clearing water and sand buildup, improving traffic flow and boosting community satisfaction.
The municipality also reiterated its preparedness to respond to emergencies through the availability of teams, equipment, and vehicles, alongside efficient rainwater drainage systems to sustain infrastructure and ensure public safety.
In Sharjah, Dibba Al Hisn Municipality rolled out its field response plans amid rainfall and changing weather conditions, with specialised teams working continuously.

Talib Abdullah Al Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, said teams activated their intervention plans from the early hours of the weather event, reinforcing their presence on main roads to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimise disruption.
He added that technical efforts were intensified through continuous monitoring of rainwater drainage networks and verification of their operational efficiency, alongside field inspections of public facilities and waterfront areas to ensure safety.
Ajman Municipality increased its level of readiness to respond to rainfall and adverse weather as part of wider precautionary efforts nationwide.
