Dubai Police advise motorists to drive carefully as accidents disrupt traffic on major commuter routes.

Motorists experienced heavy congestion and slow-moving traffic across several major roads in Dubai and Sharjah on Monday morning, with delays affecting the busy Dubai-Sharjah commute, industrial districts and key routes around Business Bay and Al Quoz.

Several minor accidents were also reported across the road network, including an incident in Dubai’s Al Mamzar area, adding to delays during the morning rush hour.
Meanwhile, Dubai Police reminded motorists to use their indicators before changing lanes or making turns, stressing that signalling allows other road users to anticipate movements and helps improve road safety.

Dubai Police issue road safety reminder
Dubai Police urged motorists to use their indicators whenever changing lanes or making turns, reminding drivers that clear signalling helps other road users anticipate their movements and reduces the likelihood of accidents.
Motorists are also urged to maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, avoid abrupt lane changes or sudden manoeuvres, and check real-time traffic conditions before beginning their journeys.
What motorists need to know
Commuters travelling between Dubai and Sharjah should plan for possible delays and allow additional travel time, particularly along Al Ittihad Road (E11) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311).
Heavy traffic may also affect key routes around Business Bay, Al Quoz, Jumeirah Village Circle and roads leading to Dubai International Airport.
With traffic conditions changing rapidly during the morning rush hour, drivers are encouraged to check Google Maps for the latest congestion updates before setting off.
Motorists should also remain vigilant, follow traffic regulations and adhere to Dubai Police road safety advice to ensure a safer journey.
