UAE Lottery Winners Use Winnings to Aid Students and Orphanages Abroad

Date:

The UAE Lottery has awarded more than Dh175 million in prizes since its inception, promoting both excitement and a sense of responsibility among winners.

Some UAE Lottery winners are thinking beyond personal celebrations, using their prize money to help others.

In a new social media reel, winners shared plans to support students, care for orphaned children, and assist those in need in their home countries.

“I plan to support students in my hometown who cannot afford to continue their education. I want to use part of my winnings to help them,” said Ananth Perumalsamy, a Dh1 million winner from Tamil Nadu.

Another winner, Ahmed Kabeer, originally from India, shared, “I plan to divide the prize money into three parts. The first will support people in need, the second will help care for orphaned children, and the third will be used to grow my business.”

Since its launch, the UAE Lottery has awarded over Dh175 million in prizes to players across the country, creating excitement while fostering a sense of responsibility and gratitude among winners.

These stories highlight a side of lottery winnings that goes beyond personal gain, emphasizing responsibility, gratitude, and giving back.

This mindset was also evident in October 2025, when Anilkumar Bolla won the historic Dh100 million Grand Prize. Beyond the life-changing win, he expressed his intention to support charitable causes. “I believe that donations will reach the people who really require the money. That gives me core happiness,” he said, showing how a single win can create a wider positive impact.

Excitement continues with Lucky Day, featuring a weekly draw every Saturday, a grand prize of Dh30 million, a second prize of Dh5 million, and three guaranteed Dh100,000 winners each week through Lucky Chance—offering more opportunities to win and more ways to make a difference.
