Aayan Khan teams up with Red Bull to inspire the UAE’s next generation of cricketers.

Dubai: Rising UAE cricket star Aayan Khan has been named a Red Bull brand ambassador, marking a major milestone in his career as he aims to expand his international presence and inspire the country’s next generation of cricketers.

The talented all-rounder, who was raised in the UAE and first picked up a cricket bat at the age of five, described the partnership with the global brand as a proud moment in both his personal life and professional journey.

“Joining Red Bull as a brand ambassador is a very special milestone for me, both personally and professionally,” Aayan told Gulf News.

“Having grown up in the UAE and started playing cricket at the age of five, it feels great to reach a stage where a global brand like Red Bull believes in me and my journey enough to give me wings.”

Aayan expressed gratitude to Allah and his family, especially his mother, whose prayers and unwavering encouragement have played an important role in his development as a cricketer.

He hopes the collaboration will provide a platform to connect with a broader audience, showcase UAE cricket internationally and encourage aspiring players to pursue their goals with determination.

“As a UAE international cricketer, I hope this partnership with Red Bull will help me reach a wider audience, represent the country with pride, and motivate young cricketers to believe in their dreams and work hard to achieve them,” he said.

Having already faced some of the biggest names in international cricket, Aayan believes those experiences have been instrumental in shaping his approach to the game.

Competing against world-class players, he explained, has strengthened his understanding of the preparation, consistency and mental resilience needed to succeed at the highest level.

“Playing against some of the best cricketers in the world has helped me understand the importance of preparation, discipline, consistency and staying mentally strong under pressure,” Aayan said.

“Every match and every tournament has given me valuable experience and helped me identify areas where I can improve. These experiences have made me more confident and helped me develop as an all-round cricketer.”

One of the biggest milestones in Aayan’s career came during the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, when he represented the UAE and became the country’s youngest male senior international cricketer at the time.

Another memorable achievement was the UAE’s historic T20 International series victory over New Zealand, in which Aayan delivered a Player of the Match performance.

“Competing against a team of that calibre and being able to contribute to such an important victory was a huge moment for me,” he recalled.

“These experiences remind me of how far I have come since starting cricket at the age of five. At the same time, I see them as motivation to keep pushing myself, because I believe the best moments of my career are still ahead of me.”

Inspiring the next generation of UAE cricketers

Beyond his personal achievements, Aayan believes partnerships with internationally recognised brands can play an important role in raising the profile of UAE cricket.

He hopes such associations will bring greater attention to the country’s emerging players and create more opportunities for young talent to gain recognition on the global stage.

“The UAE has a lot of young talent, and I believe there is huge potential for the country to achieve even greater things in international cricket,” he said.

“Personally, if my journey can inspire even one young cricketer to work harder, stay disciplined and believe that they can represent the country one day, that would mean a lot to me.”

Aiming for bigger milestones

Looking to the future, Aayan is determined to become a consistent match-winner for the UAE across all formats and contribute to significant achievements for the national team.

He also hopes to continue featuring in major franchise cricket leagues worldwide, gaining valuable exposure to different playing conditions, teams and competitive environments.

His ambition is to establish himself as a dependable all-rounder capable of delivering important performances when his team needs them most.

Despite his growing reputation and international recognition, Aayan remains focused on maintaining the values that have shaped his journey.

“Personally, I want to stay grounded, maintain the discipline that has brought me this far, and make my family proud,” he said.

“Ultimately, I want to keep growing, represent the UAE with pride, and make the most of every opportunity Allah blesses me with.”

With his appointment as a Red Bull athlete, the 20-year-old joins an impressive roster of international cricket stars associated with the brand, including Rashid Khan, KL Rahul, Ben Stokes and Smriti Mandhana.

The partnership represents another significant step in Aayan’s emerging career and reflects his growing profile as one of the UAE’s promising cricket talents.
