Temperatures Across the UAE Forecast to Dip Slightly.

Abu Dhabi: The UAE is expected to experience humid and partly cloudy weather over the weekend, with the possibility of fog forming in certain areas before rain chances increase early next week, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Friday’s weather is forecast to remain generally clear to partly cloudy, with clouds developing over eastern regions during the afternoon. Some of these clouds may become convective, while temperatures are expected to decrease slightly across the country.
Maximum daytime temperatures in coastal areas and islands are predicted to range between 36°C and 40°C, while inland regions could experience hotter conditions, with temperatures reaching 39°C to 42°C. Mountainous areas are expected to remain relatively cooler, recording highs between 28°C and 36°C.
Humidity levels are expected to rise during Friday night and into Saturday morning across several coastal and inland regions, increasing the likelihood of fog and mist formation, particularly in western parts of the UAE.
Relative humidity could climb to a maximum of 90% in coastal areas and islands, while inland regions may experience levels of up to 85%. Mountainous areas are forecast to record humidity levels reaching 80%.
Friday’s winds are expected to remain light to moderate, blowing mainly from the southeast to northeast at speeds of 10 to 20 km/h, occasionally increasing to 30 km/h. Sea conditions are predicted to remain calm to slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Partly Cloudy and Humid Weather to Continue Through the Weekend
Saturday is expected to bring generally clear to partly cloudy skies, with cloud formations developing over eastern and southern regions during the afternoon. Some of these clouds could become convective.
Humidity is forecast to increase again on Saturday night and into Sunday morning, potentially leading to fog or mist in certain coastal and inland locations, especially in western areas.
Similar weather conditions are anticipated on Sunday, with partly cloudy skies and afternoon cloud development over eastern and southern parts of the country. Fog or mist may return during the night and persist into Monday morning.
The repeated occurrence of humid nights reflects the UAE’s typical October weather pattern, when atmospheric moisture remains relatively high despite a gradual decline in temperatures.
According to previous observations by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), October generally remains humid, with average maximum relative humidity reaching approximately 78%.
Rainfall Possible on Monday as Winds Strengthen
A more significant shift in weather conditions is expected to begin on Monday, with an increased possibility of rainfall in parts of the UAE.
Convective clouds are forecast to develop over eastern regions during the afternoon, potentially spreading towards some inland areas and bringing scattered showers.
Wind speeds could also increase considerably near developing clouds, reaching up to 45 km/h at times.
These stronger winds may lift dust and sand into the air, potentially reducing visibility in affected areas.
On Tuesday, convective clouds are expected to develop once again over eastern and southern parts of the UAE, potentially bringing rainfall to some areas. Winds may strengthen near cloud formations, with speeds reaching up to 40 km/h.
Despite the anticipated changes in weather conditions, seas are forecast to remain generally slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea throughout the forecast period.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the UAE is currently experiencing the influence of a weak surface pressure system, accompanied by an extension of a weak upper-level low-pressure system. These atmospheric conditions are contributing to the changing cloud patterns and increased possibility of rainfall across parts of the country in the coming days.
