Dubai: Fujairah authorities confirmed that one person was killed when debris from an intercepted drone fell on a farm in the Al-Rifa’a area, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.

The Fujairah Government Media Office stated that UAE air defence systems successfully intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the emirate. Debris from the interception landed on a farm in Al-Rifa’a, resulting in the death of a Bengali national, authorities confirmed.

Officials emphasized the need to rely solely on official sources, warning that rumours and unverified reports could create unnecessary public panic.

Authorities and emergency teams continue to monitor the site and maintain safety in the surrounding area.

Residents were advised to stay updated through official government channels.
