On Wednesday, the highly anticipated Al Yalayis station in Dubai opened to the public alongside Al Dhaid station in Sharjah. Strong passenger demand has also prompted Etihad Rail to add six extra services for the weekend.

Is parking available at Etihad Rail stations?
Yes. Parking facilities are available at stations across the passenger network, making it easier for travellers to drive to the station and continue their journey by train.
Here are the parking details and charges:
Mohamed bin Zayed City station, Abu Dhabi
The Mohamed bin Zayed City station has 258 parking spaces, including eight reserved for electric vehicles. The parking facility is operated through Darb.
The first 15 minutes of parking are free. After that, motorists staying for up to three hours are charged Dh5 per hour. Parking for up to 24 hours costs Dh15, while multi-day parking is charged at Dh20 per day.
Vehicles entering the parking facility between 2am and 6am are charged Dh20 for a 24-hour period.
Fees are deducted through the Darb wallet. Motorists who do not have a Darb account can make their payment using a QR code. Payment must be completed within 24 hours to avoid penalties.
Al Yalayis station, Dubai
Al Yalayis station offers 265 parking spaces. The facility is managed by Parkin, with parking fees applicable around the clock throughout the week, including public holidays.
The first 15 minutes are free, after which motorists are charged Dh5 per hour. Vehicles parked for five hours or longer are charged the full-day rate of Dh30.
Overnight parking between 1am and 5am costs Dh40. Payments can be made through the Parkin app within one day. Failure to complete the payment within the required period can result in a Dh150 fine.
Al Dhaid station provides free parking, with spaces available for 26 vehicles.
Fujairah station has 263 parking spaces, with parking charged at Dh10 per day.
What are the onward travel options?
Passengers arriving at Etihad Rail stations have several options to continue their journeys using shuttle buses and local public transport.
Mohamed bin Zayed City station, Abu Dhabi
Three shuttle bus services are available for passengers travelling to and from the Abu Dhabi station. The shuttle must be booked when purchasing the train ticket and costs Dh10 per passenger.
The services connect the station with Reem Mall on Reem Island, approximately 55 minutes away; ADNEC Centre in Al Rawdah, around 30 minutes away; and ADNOC Headquarters on the Corniche, approximately 45 minutes from the station.
Shuttle services operate between 7am and 9pm in both directions. Separate weekday and weekend schedules are available through Etihad Rail.
Al Yalayis station, Dubai
Passengers arriving at Al Yalayis have several options for connecting to Dubai’s wider public transport network.
Travellers can reach Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station using a footbridge or shuttle service. The F38 bus also provides connections to areas including Dubai Production City and Dubai Sports City.
Passengers planning to use Dubai’s public transport network can purchase a Nol One-Day Pass, with prices starting from Dh22. The pass allows travellers to combine their inter-emirate train journey with unlimited eligible trips on Dubai Metro, tram and bus services.
Al Dhaid station
Passengers arriving at Al Dhaid can use three bus connections to continue their journeys. Services link the station with Jubail Bus Station, Al Sajaa Bus Station and Al Madam Bus Station.
Fujairah station
Passengers arriving at Fujairah station can easily connect to local bus services, with the Etihad Rail bus stop located just 35 metres from the station.
In addition to public transport connections, e-hailing and car rental services are available at all Etihad Rail passenger stations, giving travellers more options to continue their journeys.
