ABU DHABI: Shaykh Abdullah Bin Bayyah, Chairman of the UAE Council for Fatwa, has congratulated President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE leadership, and the people of the UAE on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, praying for continued prosperity, security, and blessings for the UAE and the wider Muslim world.
He noted that Eid embodies gratitude, unity, and compassion, and called for stronger family bonds, greater support for those in need, and enhanced social harmony.
He also offered prayers for the safety and acceptance of Hajj pilgrims, as well as for the UAE’s continued stability and prosperity.
Eid Al-Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” is one of the two major Islamic holidays, marking Prophet Abraham’s unwavering faith and his willingness to sacrifice his son.
The holiday places strong emphasis on devotion, compassion, and charity.
