The Higher Committee of Human Fraternity is expanding its initiatives in 2026 to further promote the values of coexistence and mutual understanding.

A new partnership with the United Nations in Geneva signals a new phase in advancing the Abu Dhabi Document on Human Fraternity.

Abu Dhabi: Herizal Hazri, Advisor to the Secretary-General of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, said that 2026 represents a pivotal milestone in the committee’s efforts to promote the values of coexistence and human fraternity globally.

He noted that this will be achieved through the launch of qualitative programmes and initiatives in partnership with international institutions, governments, and organisations worldwide.

In statements to Emirates News Agency, he said the committee began the current year by organising an international programme in cooperation with the United Nations Office at Geneva, bringing together more than 50 diplomats representing 50 countries, along with students, media professionals, and representatives of international communities.

The programme aimed to highlight the Abu Dhabi Document on Human Fraternity and explore ways to strengthen cooperation in embedding its principles and values more widely.

He added that the event marked the first time the Abu Dhabi Document on Human Fraternity was presented at the United Nations Office at Geneva, and also represented the first collaboration between the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity and the UN office in promoting human fraternity and peaceful coexistence globally.

Herizal Hazri said the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity is implementing expanded programmes across Africa and Asia this year, focusing on education and development projects aimed at improving livelihoods—particularly for farmers in Africa—and strengthening values of coexistence and mutual understanding among communities.

He noted that in the first quarter of the year, the committee continued training more than 150,000 students across six countries through ethical education programmes delivered in cooperation with governments and relevant local entities.

He also confirmed the continuation of teacher training initiatives, stating that more than 10,000 teachers have benefited from these programmes so far.

Hazri added that the committee plans to further expand ethical education initiatives into additional countries in the coming period, alongside building broader partnerships with international institutions. This effort, he said, supports the dissemination of the principles of the Abu Dhabi Document on Human Fraternity and reinforces a culture of coexistence and human fraternity across different levels of society.
