Temperature dips to 7.8°C in UAE, fog blankets areas

Certain areas in the country had also experienced dense fog and low visibility in the morning.

The lowest temperature recorded in the UAE on Friday, February 7, morning was 7.8°C in Raknah.

According to a tweet by National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) in UAE, the said temperature was recorded at 07:15 am.

Certain areas in the country had also experienced dense fog and low visibility in the morning, including the Al-Sharjah Al-Dhaid Road. The fog formation had been quite dense around Abu Dhabi Island and some of the surrounding external areas in the country.

The NCM has called on drivers and motorists in UAE to take caution and follow the traffic instructions, due to the formation of fog and the low level of horizontal visibility on certain areas in the country.

Fair to partly cloudy weather is to prevail in the country with the relative humidity forecast to increase during Friday night and Saturday morning over some coastal and northern areas with a probability of fog/mist formation.
