Sharjah to close Khorfakkan road for six days for maintenance

Date:

Ali bin Abi Talib Street to close from Monday to Saturday for maintenance works.

Sharjah: A road in Khorfakkan will be closed for six days from Monday as Sharjah carries out maintenance works aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing road safety.

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority said Ali bin Abi Talib Street would be closed in the direction from Hayawa Square towards Al Majlis Al Adabi Square in Al Bardi 4.

The closure will begin on Monday, August 24, and remain in effect until Saturday, August 29, to allow maintenance and road improvement works to be completed.

The authority said the affected section of Ali bin Abi Talib Street within the designated work zone will be closed, with motorists advised to use alternative internal roads around Al Bardi 4.

A traffic diversion plan marks the closed section in red and alternative routes in green, helping drivers access surrounding areas while avoiding the work zone.

Motorists will continue to have access to destinations within Al Bardi 4 via the surrounding internal road network, with the appropriate route depending on their destination.

The authority urged drivers to follow temporary road signs and approved diversion routes and avoid lanes designated for maintenance crews.

It said following the diversions would help protect both motorists and workers while ensuring traffic continues to move safely and efficiently throughout the six-day closure.
