The festival enters a new chapter, showcasing vintage automobiles alongside the personal stories and historical significance behind them.

Sharjah: The Sharjah Old Cars Club has confirmed that the fourth edition of the Sharjah Old Cars Festival will be held from Thursday, January 21, to Sunday, January 24, 2027, under the theme “Every Car Tells a Story.”
The upcoming edition will continue the festival’s tradition of celebrating classic automobiles while highlighting the personal experiences, memories and historical significance associated with vehicles from different generations.
This year’s theme encourages visitors to look beyond the age, rarity and engineering achievements of vintage cars and appreciate the individual stories that make each vehicle special.
Every classic automobile has a journey that begins at the manufacturing stage and continues through the roads, cities and destinations it has travelled across over the years.
Along the way, the people who owned, drove or travelled in these vehicles contributed to their unique histories, leaving behind memories and experiences that cannot be captured through technical specifications alone.
The theme “Every Car Tells a Story” places these individual journeys at the centre of the festival, presenting vintage automobiles as reflections of the periods in which they were created and used.
Through their designs, ownership histories and preservation journeys, classic cars offer insights into the social, cultural and industrial transformations that have taken place over the decades.
The festival will highlight the emotional connections between owners and their vehicles, exploring how personal experiences and shared memories contribute to the lasting appeal of vintage automobiles.
In this way, each classic car represents more than a preserved piece of automotive history. It becomes a record of the lives it has touched and the communities it has been part of.
Festival Theme Celebrates the Connection Between People and Cars
Ahmed Hamad Al Suwaidi, Board Member of Sharjah Old Cars Club and Chairman of the Festival’s Organising Committee, explained that the theme was selected to reflect the meaningful relationship between individuals and their vehicles.
He emphasised that the significance of a classic car extends far beyond its manufacturing year, rarity or market value.
According to Al Suwaidi, the real appeal of vintage automobiles lies in the experiences they have been part of, the journeys they have completed and the memories they continue to preserve.
He noted that these personal histories, along with the distinctive characteristics developed by each vehicle over time, give classic cars an identity and emotional significance that cannot be measured by their technical features alone.
The fourth edition of the Sharjah Old Cars Festival will celebrate these connections, encouraging visitors to discover the human stories behind the vehicles and appreciate their place in automotive and cultural history.
