Sharjah-Dubai Traffic Update: Major Roads Experience Heavy Congestion and Delays This Morning

Date:

Heavy Traffic Reported on E11, E44 and E311 as E611 Accident Causes Additional Delays for Motorists.

Dubai: Motorists travelling between Sharjah and Dubai are experiencing significant traffic delays during the morning rush hour, with congestion affecting several major highways and a reported accident on Emirates Road (E611).

According to traffic information from Google Maps, vehicles are moving slowly along Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), Al Khail Road (E44) and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311).

Additional traffic build-ups have been reported around Karama, City Walk and Dubai Mall, resulting in longer travel times for commuters.

Sheikh Zayed Road Experiences Heavy Traffic

Drivers heading towards Dubai along Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) are facing substantial congestion in several sections, with vehicles moving bumper to bumper in some areas.

Severe traffic delays have been reported along the route connecting Sharjah and Abu Hail, as well as near Zabeel Park and Defence Roundabout.

Reported accidents and ongoing road construction are contributing to slower traffic movement in these locations.

Meanwhile, moderate congestion is affecting motorists travelling through Umm Suqeim and Dubai Marina.

Traffic conditions are also challenging on surrounding roads, including Sheikh Rashid Road (D75), where heavy congestion has been reported.

Vehicles are additionally experiencing slow movement along D88 through Karama, adding to the morning commuting difficulties.

Al Safa Street (D71) is also witnessing traffic congestion in both directions, particularly around City Walk and Dubai Mall, causing additional delays for commuters.

Al Khail Road Faces Significant Congestion

Motorists using Al Khail Road (E44) are experiencing heavy traffic along the stretch between Meydan and Dubai Hills Estate.

Slow-moving vehicles and traffic build-ups have also been reported near Ras Al Khor and around the Dubai Production City exit connecting to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311).

Drivers travelling through these areas may experience longer journey times during peak commuting hours.

Traffic Builds Up on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road

Moderate traffic congestion has been reported along Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311), particularly near Mirdif and Global Village.

Vehicles are moving slowly between Motor City and the Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) exit, which connects motorists to Al Khail Road (E44).

Meanwhile, heavy traffic is affecting the Dubai South area, creating additional challenges for drivers travelling through this section of the highway.

Emirates Road: Accident May Cause Localised Delays

Traffic along Emirates Road (E611) is generally flowing smoothly in both directions, although motorists may encounter congestion near Al Awir.

A reported collision on the northbound carriageway could also result in temporary disruptions and slower traffic movement.

The approximately 53.5km southbound journey from Al Khawaneej to Dubai Investments Park (DIP) is taking around 40 minutes, with traffic moving steadily across most sections.

Minor delays may occur near exits connecting to industrial and residential neighbourhoods.

In the opposite direction, the 54km route from Dubai Investments Park to Al Khawaneej is taking approximately 39 minutes.

However, drivers approaching the reported accident location should remain alert for sudden braking and temporary traffic build-ups.

Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys carefully, allow additional travel time and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.

Checking live traffic updates before departure may also help commuters identify congestion and choose alternative routes where available.
