Sharjah Extends Public Parking Fee Exemption Amid Unstable Weather

Sharjah has announced that the public parking fee exemption will be extended until further notice due to unstable weather conditions.

The extension applies to the exemption initially implemented on March 23. The Sharjah City Municipality confirmed that it covers all public parking areas across the emirate, including zones that are normally chargeable.

All public parking areas in Sharjah, including normally chargeable zones indicated by blue signs, are covered by the exemption. Smart parking yards, however, remain excluded.

The UAE is expecting a week of unsettled weather, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasting rain across various parts of the country from Sunday to Friday. Showers are expected to move through the northern, eastern, southern, coastal, and inland regions, with rainfall amounts varying daily.

Officials have emphasized that public safety remains a top priority and have promised further updates as the weather develops.

Meanwhile, motorists have been advised to exercise caution, particularly during periods of low visibility and on roads prone to water accumulation.
