Saudi Arabia Opens Hajj Package Bookings for Domestic Pilgrims
Dubai: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has begun the booking phase for Hajj packages for domestic pilgrims, allowing Saudi citizens and expatriates with valid residency permits to select and reserve their pilgrimage packages.
Applicants who registered their details during the initial phase can now access available packages through the Nusuk digital platform, either via its website or mobile app.
Payments for confirmed bookings will be processed through the SADAD electronic payment system. The initial data-registration phase for domestic pilgrims began on February 23 (Ramadan 6).
The ministry stated that applicants can review available packages, choose the option that suits their needs, issue a booking invoice, and complete payment electronically.
“The process is part of a digital system aimed at streamlining Hajj services and ensuring fair access to pilgrimage opportunities.
Hajj Payment and Cancellation Guidelines for Domestic Pilgrims
Pilgrims must complete payment within 72 hours of booking, a timeframe that will remain in effect until Dhul Qada 27 (May 14).
From May 15, the payment window will be reduced to six hours to allow more applicants the chance to secure available packages. Reservations will be automatically cancelled if payment is not completed within the specified period.
The ministry also outlined the cancellation policy:
- Pilgrims may cancel their bookings without deductions before the Hajj permit is issued and until Shawwal 30 (April 18).
- After permits are issued, refunds will vary depending on the timing of the cancellation request.
- No refunds will be granted for cancellations made from Dhul Hijjah 1 (May 18) until the booking platform closes.
