Saudi Arabia introduces additional visa options for international visitors.

Saudi Arabia has widened access to its tourist visa programme, adding citizens of four more countries to the list of nationalities eligible to visit the Kingdom for tourism and other permitted activities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the expansion on Thursday, confirming the inclusion of Mexico, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.

Four countries added to Saudi Arabia’s tourist visa programme

The newly eligible nationalities are:

  • Mexico
  • North Macedonia
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Serbia

Citizens of these countries can now apply for Saudi tourist visas, subject to the relevant eligibility requirements and regulations.

What can visitors do with a Saudi tourist visa?

The tourist visa allows travellers to visit the Kingdom for several purposes, including:

  • Attending entertainment events and activities
  • Performing Umrah
  • Taking part in exhibitions and conferences
  • Visiting family members and friends

What visa options are available?

According to the official Visit Saudi website, citizens of the four newly added countries can access the following visa options:

  • eVisa: An electronic travel permit that eligible visitors can apply for online.
  • Visa on arrival: An option available to qualifying travellers, subject to Saudi Arabia’s entry requirements.
  • Transit or stopover visa: Designed for eligible passengers travelling through the Kingdom en route to another destination.

Each visa type comes with specific conditions, eligibility criteria and regulations that applicants must meet.

Saudi Arabia reiterates visa requirements

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasised that all visits to the Kingdom remain subject to the applicable rules, regulations and entry requirements.

The latest expansion reflects Saudi Arabia’s wider efforts to attract more international visitors and make travel to the country easier for tourism, religious visits and business-related activities.
