Philippine Consulate in Dubai highlights babies’ day mission and election deadlines for UAE-based Filipinos.

Dubai: Filipinos in Dubai and the Northern Emirates are being urged to take note of key consular services and deadlines this April, as the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai launches initiatives to support families and ensure voter registration processes stay on track.
In an advisory, the consulate announced a dedicated BabiParents are advised to ensure all required documents are complete before their appointment. Additional information is available on the consulate’s website.es’ Day on April 9, offering additional appointment slots for newborn-related services, including birth registration and passport applications.
The initiative aims to simplify the process for Filipino parents seeking official documents for children born in the UAE.
Applicants must book an appointment through the consulate’s official website in advance. Only those with confirmed appointments will be accommodated, in line with efforts to streamline services and manage the expected volume of applicants.

Requirements for Babies’ Day applications
For report of birth applications, parents must submit:
- The original and five copies of the marriage certificate or report of marriage
- Valid passports of the parents
- An English birth certificate, either:
- Authenticated by the UAE Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or
- Translated into English and stamped by the UAE Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs
For children whose births have not been reported within 12 months, the following are also required:
- An affidavit of delayed registration
- A negative certification of birth record from the Philippine Statistics Authority
Additional documents may be requested depending on individual cases.
Resident Election Registration Board
In addition to consular services, the Resident Election Registration Board (RERB) will convene on April 20 at 3 p.m. in the consulate’s Rizal Hall to review voter-related applications submitted between December 2025 and March 2026.
The review will cover requests such as voter registration, certification, reactivation, correction of personal details, transfer of records, and recapture, among others. These proceedings are part of the regular process to ensure that overseas voter records remain accurate and up to date ahead of upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, individuals who wish to contest or raise concerns about any applications under review have until April 13 to submit their objections in writing to the RERB at the consulate.
