According to the agency, NTA is working in coordination with the Indian Embassy for candidates registered from Bahrain.
The announcement provides relief to thousands of Indian expat families in the Gulf, who had been anxiously awaiting clarity on where their children would take the high-stakes engineering entrance exam amid the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict.
Candidates in Dubai and Kuwait can now view their allotted exam cities, while those registered from Bahrain are still waiting. The NTA stated that it “is in coordination with the Indian Embassy” to resolve the situation, though no timeline has been provided for the release of these slips.
Option to change exam city
Candidates still have the option to request a change of their examination city.
According to the NTA, students wishing to change their exam city for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 can either call the NTA helpline at 011-40759000 or email jeemain@nta.ac.in.
“All candidates are advised to frequently visit the official NTA website (www.nta.ac.in) and the JEE Main portal (https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/) for the latest updates ahead of the April exam schedule.”
