The sixth edition of the awards introduces new categories recognising corporates that are advancing women’s leadership.

Nominations are now open for the sixth edition of the Excellence Awards, which will be held at the Museum of the Future on June 12.

For the first time, organisations across sectors can submit entries for 20 corporate awards introduced this year, alongside 15 individual honours recognising women achievers. Organised by Gulf News and BeingShe, the expanded format highlights the growing importance of measurable corporate action in advancing women’s leadership.

The awards come against the backdrop of ongoing workplace challenges faced by women, including unconscious bias, unequal promotion pathways, and limited access to leadership roles. Advocates and research alike emphasise that gender-diverse leadership improves both innovation and business performance.

Recognition for corporates
The 2026 edition will spotlight organisations implementing inclusive policies such as mentorship programmes, flexible work arrangements, parental support systems, and leadership development initiatives for women.

Categories span industries including healthcare, technology, finance, energy, mobility, retail, real estate, logistics, tourism, education, luxury, and free zones.

The initiative builds on the success of previous editions, with the 2025 awards receiving over 400 nominations and 37 winners recognised. Organisers say the platform has evolved into a movement celebrating women driving change across industries in the UAE and beyond.

Nominations are open until May 15.
