Mosque designed for the community integrates Islamic architecture and eco-friendly elements.

Dubai: The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has inaugurated the new Zamzam Mosque in Al Barsha South 2.
The mosque accommodates up to 850 worshippers, with 700 spaces for men and 150 for women, and will serve residents of Al Barsha South 2 as well as surrounding communities.
Designed in a modern style inspired by traditional Islamic architecture, the mosque features a main prayer hall, a dedicated women’s prayer area, a minaret, and an arcade. The facility also includes residential quarters for the Imam and Muezzin.
The mosque includes facilities such as ablution areas, parking, and accessible features for People of Determination and elderly worshippers. It is fitted with modern air-conditioning and sound systems, as well as energy-efficient lighting and other sustainability measures in line with Dubai’s environmental goals.
The mosque was constructed thanks to a donation from the Abdul Wahed Al Rostamani Group and his grandchildren.
