Metac to construct seven Bay Grove buildings, with main works scheduled for completion by late 2028.
Dubai: Construction is progressing on 537 homes at the sold-out Bay Grove Residences on Dubai Islands after Nakheel awarded a main works contract valued at more than Dh800 million to Metac General Contracting Co.
The contract covers Phases 1 and 3 of the waterfront project, with the main construction work scheduled for completion by late 2028.
Phase 1 will deliver 296 homes across four residential buildings, while Phase 3 will comprise 241 additional units across three buildings. The development will offer homes ranging from one- to four-bedroom configurations.
The construction package also covers basement works, supporting infrastructure and a range of resident amenities, including swimming pools, sports courts and a fitness centre.
Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, said the sell-out of Bay Grove Residences reflects strong demand for premium waterfront homes in Dubai. He added that the contract, valued at more than Dh800 million, advances the community into its next phase of construction and represents another milestone in the wider development of Dubai Islands.
Metac General Contracting Co has been appointed to undertake the construction works across all seven buildings covered by the contract.
Bay Grove to feature 1,154 homes
Bay Grove Residences is being developed as a waterfront community featuring landscaped shared spaces, walking and cycling paths, and direct access to Crystal Beach.
Once fully completed, the development is expected to comprise 1,154 homes across 15 residential buildings.
An additional 617 homes are planned across Phases 2 and 4, with Nakheel saying preparations for the next stages are moving forward and further construction contracts will be announced in due course.
Bay Grove is part of the broader Dubai Islands development located off the coast of Deira.
The master-planned destination spans five islands and features more than 20 kilometres of beaches. Plans also include parks and open spaces, golf courses, hotels, cultural destinations and waterfront residential communities overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
