Muna Easa Al Gurg has been named in the 2026 TIME100 Philanthropy list in recognition of her work supporting women and girls across the Middle East and North Africa.

Al Gurg is the founder of the Meem Foundation, established in 2024, which focuses on supporting women and girls through education, healthcare, and economic empowerment programmes.

The foundation supports underserved communities, including refugees and displaced populations, with the goal of expanding access to opportunities, skills, and resources that can improve lives.

The Meem Foundation also operates as both a grant-maker and impact investor, collaborating with organisations across various sectors, including the Al Jalila Foundation, New York University Abu Dhabi Clinical AI Lab, Every Pregnancy, and Anara Impact Capital.

In 2025, Al Gurg signed the Giving Pledge, a global initiative in which individuals commit to donating the majority of their wealth to charitable causes.

The TIME100 Philanthropy list, launched in 2025, recognizes individuals making significant contributions to philanthropy and social development worldwide.

The recognition reflects increasing attention on regional initiatives focused on gender equity, healthcare access, and community development.
