Dubai-Sharjah commuters face slow morning amid crashes
Commuters traveling between Dubai and Sharjah experienced a slow Thursday morning as accidents and peak-hour congestion backed up several major roads across both emirates.

Crashes exacerbate Emirates Road traffic
The heaviest disruption occurred on Emirates Road (E611), where multiple crashes near Wadi Al Safa 5 brought traffic to a near standstill during the morning rush, according to Google Maps real-time data. The incidents caused delays in surrounding suburbs, with traffic stretching south toward Wadi Al Safa 7, where Al Qudra Road was also moving slowly.

Inner-city Dubai hit hard
Within Dubai, the Al Qusais Industrial Area experienced some of the heaviest congestion, with vehicles barely moving for much of the morning. Motorists on Sheikh Rashid Road near Al Kifaf and along Al Ittihad Road (E11)—especially between Al Nahda and the city centre—reported slow-moving traffic well into peak hours. Prolonged delays were also observed on Al Quds Street in Al Twar 1 and Damascus Street.

Sharjah lanes choked
Commuters traveling toward Dubai from Sharjah faced heavy traffic on Al Wahda Road through Al Khalidiya, along with bottlenecks on Al Taawun Street. The Sharjah Ring Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) through the industrial zone were also congested, as were parts of Emirates Road near the Al Badee area.

Authorities from the RTA urged motorists to allow extra travel time and take alternative routes wherever possible.
