March 25 UAE Travel Alert: Weather Guidelines for Airlines, Airports, and Travelers

Date:

Emirates, flydubai, Air Arabia, and Dubai Airports recommend that travelers check schedules and plan in advance.

Dubai: Travelers flying from the UAE this week are being advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for airport transfers, as adverse weather is expected to affect operations between March 23 and 27.

Airlines including Emirates, flydubai, and Air Arabia, along with Dubai Airports, have issued advisories highlighting potential disruptions due to reduced visibility and challenging driving conditions across the country.

A fresh wave of rain approaching from Al Dhafra and the Arabian Gulf is set to affect most parts of the UAE in the coming hours, with heavy showers and possible hail expected in some areas.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast that unstable weather will persist until the end of the week, with partly cloudy to overcast skies and convective cloud formation causing rainfall of varying intensity across the UAE.

How Airlines Are Advising Passengers This Week

Emirates: Emirates has advised passengers departing from Dubai during this period to plan their journeys carefully due to potential poor road visibility. Travelers are strongly encouraged to arrive at least two hours before departure and drive cautiously to Dubai International Airport. Passengers are also urged to check flight status online and monitor email notifications for any schedule changes or cancellations.

flydubai: flydubai has recommended that passengers travel only if they hold confirmed bookings and arrive at the airport up to four hours before departure. The airline also advises checking baggage allowances and gate information in advance through its booking management system.

Air Arabia: Sharjah-based Air Arabia has warned that adverse weather could impact operations at several hubs, including Sharjah International Airport, Zayed International Airport, and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.

Passengers are advised not to travel to the airport without a confirmed booking, to check flight statuses before leaving home, and to ensure their contact details are updated to receive real-time alerts.

Dubai Airports: Dubai Airports has issued a public advisory warning of potential weather-related disruptions at both Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport.

Authorities have emphasized the importance of allowing extra travel time and checking directly with airlines for the latest updates before heading to the airport.

These coordinated advisories come amid shifting weather patterns across the UAE, which increase the risk of delays, highlighting the need for passengers to stay informed and plan ahead to avoid last-minute disruptions.
