Air defenses neutralize targets, but falling debris strikes a family home.

Dubai: Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence reported that its air defenses intercepted and destroyed several hostile aerial targets that entered the country’s airspace early Wednesday. The operation resulted in debris falling on a residential home, causing casualties.
According to the ministry, the targets were detected and neutralized within Kuwaiti airspace by the armed forces. Debris from the interception struck a residential building, leading to injuries and property damage.
The Kuwaiti armed forces affirmed that they remain fully committed to their duties, taking all necessary measures to protect the country’s territory, citizens, and residents, while ensuring Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability.
Separately, Kuwait’s Ministry of Health confirmed that an 11-year-old girl died after being critically injured by falling debris in a residential area of the capital.
The ministry stated that the girl, a resident of Kuwait, was rushed to the hospital where medical teams attempted resuscitation, but she later succumbed to her injuries.
The ministry added that four members of her family, including her mother, were also injured in the incident and are currently receiving treatment and undergoing medical evaluation.
