Authorities said the initiative is expected to improve efficiency and reduce paperwork.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has launched a new electronic service enabling citizens to issue entry visas for new domestic drivers through the government’s unified “Sahel” application, eliminating the need to visit service centres as part of a broader push to streamline procedures and advance digital government services.
The ministry said the service was developed by the Human Resources and Information Technology Sector in coordination with the Residency Affairs Sector, supporting Kuwait’s wider digital transformation efforts to simplify processes and enhance public service delivery.
Authorities said the initiative is designed to improve efficiency, reduce paperwork, and save users time and effort by allowing applications to be completed entirely online.
The ministry added that the initiative supports Kuwait’s wider strategy to expand digital government services and build an integrated online system for public transactions.
