Iran conflict: Indian national injured by falling missile debris in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi authorities advise the public to follow official sources for updates after missile incident.

Abu Dhabi: An Indian national suffered minor injuries after debris fell in the Al Shawamekh area following a ballistic missile incident, according to a statement from the Abu Dhabi Media Office.

Authorities reported that emergency teams responded after air defence systems intercepted the missile, with debris landing in a residential area.

Authorities have urged the public to rely solely on official sources for information and to avoid sharing rumours or unverified reports.

Since the start of the Iranian attacks, two members of the Armed Forces were martyred while performing their national duty, and six civilians of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationalities lost their lives.

A total of 161 people were also injured, with conditions ranging from minor to moderate and severe. The injured include nationals from the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, TĂĽrkiye, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, Sweden, and Tunisia.
