Heavy Traffic Hits Major Dubai Roads During Tuesday Morning Rush Hour

Date:

Motorists Face Lengthy Delays on Sharjah-Dubai Routes and E311.

Dubai: Motorists are experiencing slow-moving traffic across several major Dubai roads on Tuesday morning, October 6, as the peak-hour commute coincides with early fog in parts of the emirate.

Live traffic data indicates significant congestion on routes connecting Sharjah and Dubai, along with busy stretches across new Dubai and the Ras Al Khor area.

Some of the heaviest delays are affecting commuters travelling into Dubai from Sharjah. Traffic is moving slowly along Al Ittihad Road (E11) through Al Nahda and Al Qusais, while congestion is also building on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) around Al Qusais Industrial Area and Muwaileh.

Several internal roads through Sharjah’s industrial areas are also experiencing slow traffic, with queues developing around Al Rashidiya and routes near Dubai International Airport.

Elsewhere, motorists are facing significant delays on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Dubai Motor City and Arabian Ranches, as well as around Jumeirah Islands and Discovery Gardens.

Emirates Road (E611) is heavily congested near Arabian Ranches 3 and Hamdan Sports Complex. Slow-moving traffic is also being reported on Hessa Street (D61) near Jumeirah Village Circle and Umm Suqeim Street (D63) around Dubai Hills and Al Barsha South.

Further inland, congestion is affecting Al Ain Road (E66) between Ras Al Khor and Nad Al Sheba, while motorists on Al Khail Road (E44) are experiencing delays around Ras Al Khor and Dubai Design District.

Traffic is also moving slowly through parts of Al Quoz and on roads around Nad Al Sheba Cycle Park and Meydan.

Traffic maps are also indicating incidents along several major routes, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Al Qusais and Al Ain Road in the Ras Al Khor area, adding to delays during the morning commute.

Motorists are advised to factor in additional travel time and check the latest traffic conditions before beginning their journeys.

With fog still affecting visibility in some parts of the country this morning, drivers are also being urged to maintain a safe following distance, reduce speed where necessary and comply with posted and variable speed limits.
