Heavy rain hits parts of UAE, unstable weather to continue.

Date:

Blowing dust could reduce the visibility on roads.

Light to moderate rain was reported in different parts of the UAE on Wednesday morning, according the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

According to the latest tweets by NCM, light to moderate rain was reported over Jebel Ali in Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and in Abu Dhabi.

The NCM has called on drivers and pedestrians to take all necessary precautions when on roads due to blowing dust and sand causing poor horizontal visibility less than 2,000 meters at times due to fresh winds.

The centre also predicted “rough to very rough seas” till Thursday.

The NCM, police and civil defence in UAE earlier issued a weather alert for Wednesday, warning residents of heavy rainfall accompanied with strong winds and rough sea.

Some schools in the UAE closed because of bad weather.
