Abu Dhabi: Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, stated that some media outlets have misrepresented the UAE’s position and emphasized the importance of understanding it in the correct context. He noted that the country has been confronting Iranian attacks targeting its infrastructure and endangering civilian lives.
In a post on X, Gargash stated that the UAE has faced weeks of attacks targeting its national interests and critical infrastructure, adding that the country continues to respond with determination and efficiency.
He emphasized that defending the nation’s sovereignty is both an honour and a responsibility.
Gargash added that despite the ongoing tensions, the UAE believes a political solution is the only way to achieve lasting regional security, rather than relying on temporary measures that could perpetuate instability for decades. He noted that this principle guides the country’s policies and strategic direction.
