UNESCO reviews Fujairah’s Wadi Wurayah nomination with UAE delegation in attendance.

Fujairah: The UAE delegation, comprising representatives from the Ministry of Culture and the Government of Fujairah, is taking part in the 48th session of UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee as part of efforts to follow up on Wadi Wurayah’s nomination for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The session, being held in Busan, South Korea, brings together representatives from member states and specialised experts in natural and cultural heritage to review and discuss heritage nominations.
The UAE’s participation comes as the World Heritage Committee reviews Wadi Wurayah’s nomination file for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The move highlights the reserve’s environmental and cultural value, along with its exceptional biodiversity and geological significance at regional and global levels.
