FTA meets UAE businesses to enhance VAT services and strengthen compliance.

Date:

The Authority is seeking feedback from businesses to improve tax services, compliance, and transparency.

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has convened the first meeting of the VAT Business Advisory Group for 2026 as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen engagement with the UAE business community. The session was held in the presence of Abdulaziz Al Mulla, Director General of the FTA, and included participation from taxpayer representatives across various economic sectors, both in person and virtually.

The meeting is part of the FTA’s Business Advisory Groups initiative, which includes specialised sector-focused groups aimed at enhancing collaboration with the business community. These groups are designed to support ongoing dialogue with taxpayers, improve tax compliance, strengthen partnerships, and refine services and procedures in line with international best practices.

The Director General reaffirmed the FTA’s commitment to further enhancing communication and cooperation channels with the UAE business community and strengthening public-private sector partnerships through ongoing dialogue and consultation. He noted that such sessions facilitate the exchange of views and expertise and contribute to the development of a tax system that meets the needs of diverse economic sectors.

Al Mulla said these meetings serve as an important platform for constructive dialogue and the exchange of practical feedback between the FTA and representatives of the business community. He noted that they help develop tax services and procedures, improve customer experience, enhance tax compliance, and strengthen transparency and clarity in the implementation of tax legislation.

He added that the FTA continues to advance its digital services, improve the efficiency of its operational systems, and adopt the latest technologies to support customers. These initiatives help simplify procedures and enhance the quality of tax services. He also emphasised that feedback and suggestions from the business community remain a key part of the Authority’s ongoing improvement efforts.

The meeting is part of a series of initiatives and regular engagements organised by the FTA to engage with stakeholders, raise awareness of tax requirements, and gather feedback from taxpayers. These efforts contribute to the development of an efficient and flexible tax system aligned with the UAE’s vision for a sustainable, future-ready economy.
