Free breast screenings and mammograms available across all seven UAE emirates this October.
Dubai: UAE residents will be able to access free breast cancer screenings throughout October, with clinics available at shopping malls, workplaces and community events across the country.
Pink Caravan, the breast cancer awareness initiative run by Sharjah-based charity Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), will launch its 2026 campaign on October 1.
Throughout the month, the initiative will hold more than 75 clinic activations across the UAE, including fixed and mobile clinics, workplace visits and community events, making free screening services more accessible to residents.
Free clinical breast examinations and mammograms will be offered at the clinics, subject to eligibility requirements. The screening services are available to both women and men.
Where can you get screened?
Nine permanent Pink Caravan clinics will operate throughout October, providing coverage across all seven emirates:
- Abu Dhabi: Mushrif Mall
- Al Ain: Al Ain Mall and Makani Zakher
- Dubai: City Walk
- Sharjah: Al Majaz Waterfront and Al Dhaid Mall
- Umm Al Quwain: Mall of UAQ
- Ras Al Khaimah: RAK Mall
- Fujairah: Lulu Mall
Residents unable to visit one of the fixed locations can also access Pink Caravan’s Mobile Clinic and Mini Mobile Clinics, which will travel across the UAE throughout the month.
The mobile units will visit residential communities, shopping and lifestyle destinations, universities, workplaces and government entities, bringing screening services closer to residents.
The complete schedule, screening eligibility requirements and registration details will be available through Pink Caravan’s website and social media channels, including its Instagram account, @thepinkcaravan.
Pink Caravan community event returns to Aljada
The Pink Caravan Community Event will also return to Aljada in Sharjah for its third edition, organised in collaboration with developer Arada.
Mobile clinics at the event will provide free clinical breast examinations and mammograms to eligible women and men. The three-day programme will also feature educational workshops, community activities, gaming zones and entertainment for children.

Why early screening matters
Last year’s Pink Caravan campaign provided more than 19,000 free screenings, reaching 17,458 women and 2,244 men.
Aisha Al Mulla, Director of Friends of Cancer Patients, said this year’s campaign aims to make screening more accessible while encouraging families and communities to support women in prioritising their health.
“Early detection remains one of the most important tools we have in improving breast cancer outcomes, and our priority is to make screening as accessible as possible to communities across the UAE. This year, we are not only expanding opportunities to get checked, but also encouraging families, friends and communities to play a greater role in prompting the women in their lives to prioritise their health. By combining accessible screening with sustained awareness throughout October, we hope to turn early detection into a simple, proactive step that more people feel encouraged to take,” she said.
Anyone requiring further investigation following a screening will be referred to one of the campaign’s medical partners: Advanced Care Oncology Center, Zulekha Hospital, University Hospital Sharjah, NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah or Canadian Hospital.
Bringing breast cancer awareness to workplaces
Pink Caravan is also taking its campaign into offices and campuses across the UAE.
Companies can arrange for a clinic to visit their premises or organise an Employee Wellness Day. Dedicated awareness sessions will provide information on breast health, signs and symptoms to look out for, and how to perform a breast self-examination.

Other ways to support the campaign
Beyond getting screened, residents can support Pink Caravan by taking part in community activities and encouraging friends and family members to book a breast cancer check.
Residents can also support the campaign by making online donations through FOCP. Companies can organise fundraising initiatives, including percentage-of-sale campaigns, subject to obtaining the required fundraising permits.
FOCP’s Pink Shop also offers pins, keychains, bracelets and candles, with proceeds used to support cancer patients and their families.

Pink Caravan was launched in 2011 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and founder of Friends of Cancer Patients.
