Dubai Civil Defence quickly brings Sheikh Zayed Road building fire under control.

Dubai: Firefighters swiftly extinguished a small fire that broke out on Thursday at a building undergoing maintenance on Sheikh Zayed Road, with no injuries reported, authorities said.

Teams from Dubai Civil Defence responded promptly to the incident, carrying out firefighting and cooling operations in line with approved safety procedures to fully contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading.

No injuries were reported, and the fire was brought under control safely without affecting nearby areas or causing any disruption to the surrounding vicinity.

Cooling operations were conducted to ensure the site remained safe, while authorities said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Officials confirmed that the building was undergoing maintenance when the incident occurred. No evacuations of neighbouring properties were required, and there were no immediate signs of major structural damage.

As Dubai’s principal commercial corridor, Sheikh Zayed Road is home to numerous office towers, hotels and residential high-rises, making a swift emergency response essential to limiting disruptions in one of the city’s busiest areas.

Authorities have not reported any extended road closures or significant traffic disruptions as a result of the incident.
