A Maserati Grecale is up for grabs in the raffle’s Dream Car promotion draw on August 3.
Three Indian expats and one Bangladeshi national have moved a step closer to turning their dreams into reality after each winning Dh25,000 in Big Ticket Abu Dhabi’s second weekly e-draw for July. The winners are now looking ahead to the Dh20 million grand prize, which will be announced during the live draw on August 3.
The four winners shared their excitement over the win and said they would continue taking part in the raffle. One winner offered words of encouragement to fellow participants, saying, “Stay hopeful, just as we do every month. One day, it will be your turn.” Another added, “I have full faith that you can also win.”
For T. A. Mohammed Riyas from Kerala, India, advertisements and social media posts first introduced him to Big Ticket. The 57-year-old, who works in the cyber market industry, has been living in Oman for the past 10 years.
Reflecting on his winning moment, Riyas said he has been participating in the raffle every month for more than a decade as part of a group of friends. The group does not follow any particular pattern when selecting ticket numbers, making the win even more special.
Riyas plans to save his share of the prize money.
Shibin Ramachandran, another Keralite among the four winners, has also experienced his first Big Ticket win after taking part in the raffle every month. The 48-year-old sales professional has been living in the UAE for nearly seven years.
Introduced to Big Ticket by his colleagues, Shibin regularly purchased tickets as part of a group of three to five friends. This time, he personally selected the numbers for the winning ticket.
Shibin said he was “really surprised” when he received the news and initially struggled to believe it was true. To confirm the result, he immediately tuned into the Big Ticket livestream. He plans to save his share of the prize money for the future.
The third Indian winner, Jojo Thundiyathu Yohannan, is a 38-year-old finance manager from Kerala who has been living in Bahrain for more than 10 years. After trying his luck for two years, Jojo finally secured a Big Ticket win.
He participated in the raffle with a group of friends, who are now hoping to receive another call on August 3 announcing them as the grand prize winners. Jojo said he hopes to use his share of the prize money to support children’s education and help them build a better future.
For Bangladeshi expat Foyaz Ahmed Rani, the news of winning Dh25,000 in the e-draw brought immense happiness. His online-purchased ticket, number 289-121123, turned out to be the lucky entry.
August 3 live draw
One participant will win the Dh20 million grand prize during the live draw on August 3, while five additional winners will each receive Dh100,000 as consolation prizes.
Participants who purchase a Big Ticket during July will also be automatically entered into The Big Spin. Three participants will be selected during the August 3 live draw and will compete in the game on September 3, where each could win up to Dh1 million in cash prizes.
Big Ticket’s Dream Car promotion will also feature a Maserati Grecale draw on August 3 and a Land Rover Defender draw on September 3.
