Employment centres to open for people with disabilities

The centres will be established in all seven emirates

Dedicated centres to provide vocational training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities will open across the country.

Mashagel centres will offer workshops by local businesses and vocational training for transitional, inclusive and remote employment.

The initiative aims to help integrate people with disabilities into in the workforce.

Vocational training will be available at the centres for people ages 15 and up while employment programmes will be available for adults.

Participants must be Emirati and hold a People of Determination Card issued by the Ministry of Community Development. They can be referred by the Ministry of Education, rehabilitation centres and parents.

Centres will be established in all seven emirates, with the first to open at the Social Development Centre in Ajman. The project is under the Ministry of Community Development.
