Emirates summer offers a quick getaway to Maldives

Date:

Dubai’s Emirates airline is offering UAE nationals and residents a chance to plan a quick escape this summer to the idyllic islands of the Maldives.

“Book now and enjoy an unforgettable holiday at some of the world’s most pristine beaches,” the airline said.

With the gradual re-opening of borders, travel restrictions in Maldives have eased and passengers visiting the island nation will not be required to quarantine upon arrival, or provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test. Travellers can now take advantage and start planning a safe and stress-free holiday with family and friends.

Economy Class passengers can enjoy fares starting from Dh3,625, while Business Class passengers can enjoy fares starting from Dh8,925, and First Class passengers can enjoy fares starting from Dh20,245. The offer is valid for bookings made starting today until August 10, 2020, for travel until May 31, 2021.

“Travellers can also book with Emirates Holidays and enjoy a five-star holiday experience starting from Dh5,309 per person, including a 3 night hotel stay and airfare,” it added.

Emirates currently offers customers five weekly flights to the Maldives, utilising a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Starting from August 9, the airline will increase its services to six times a week to meet customer demand. Emirates flight EK656 departs Dubai at 2:30am and arrives in Male at 7:40am local time. The return flight, EK657, departs Male at 9:10am and arrives in Dubai at 12:10pm local time

Safety first

Emirates has implemented a comprehensive set of measures at every step of the customer journey to ensure the safety of its customers and employees on the ground and in the air, including the distribution of complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes to all customers.
