Salik announces revised toll fees for Ramadan

Dubai’s toll gate operator, Salik, has updated its rates for the holy month of Ramadan. The adjustment reflects anticipated changes in traffic patterns and revised office and school timings across the city, aiming to enhance overall traffic flow.

The government has introduced adjusted timings during Ramadan to align with fasting hours and daily routines. Government offices, private companies, and schools will follow the revised schedules, enabling employees and students to observe the holy month comfortably while maintaining productivity.

Salik Ramadan toll fees:

Monday to Saturday:

  • Dh6 – Peak (9:00 am to 5:00 pm)
  • Dh4 – Low-peak (7:00 am to 9:00 am & 5:00 pm to 2:00 am)
  • Dh0 – Off-peak (2:00 am to 7:00 am)

Sundays (excluding public holidays and events):

  • Dh4 – Peak (9:00 am to 5:00 pm)
  • Dh4 – Low-peak (7:00 am to 9:00 am & 5:00 pm to 2:00 am)
  • Dh0 – Off-peak (2:00 am to 7:00 am)

The holy month of Ramadan in the UAE is expected to begin on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on the crescent moon sighting. The UAE Moon Sighting Committee will meet on Tuesday, February 17 to observe the moon, after which the Fatwa Council will review reports from field observation teams following Maghrib prayer.

Salik’s growth highlights:

  • In January, Salik signed a 10-year agreement with Dubai Airports to enable seamless parking payments at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
  • Salik’s E-Wallet payment solution has been rolled out across all paid car parks at DXB, covering 7,400 parking spaces across Terminals 1, 2, 3, and the Cargo Mega Terminal.
  • Last week, Salik reported a net profit of Dh1.55 billion for 2025, up from Dh1.16 billion in 2024, marking a 33.4% increase.
  • Revenues rose 35.1% year-on-year to Dh3.09 billion, driven by:
    • Introduction of variable pricing from January 31, 2025
    • Operation of two new toll gates for the full year
    • Improved economic activity, including higher vehicle registrations
    • Increased traffic volumes across the city
