Google Maps shows smoother Friday traffic, with delays still reported on key routes.

Dubai: Friday morning traffic is lighter compared with regular weekdays, though motorists are still facing pockets of congestion on several key roads across Dubai and routes connecting Sharjah to the emirate, according to Google Maps.
Traffic remains generally smooth on most major highways, with delays mainly concentrated around busy intersections and popular commuter areas.
Drivers travelling from Sharjah towards Dubai are experiencing mostly light traffic along Sheikh Zayed Road (E11). However, heavier congestion is reported on Sheikh Rashid Road (D75) from Karama towards Bur Dubai, particularly near the junction with Sheikh Zayed Road.
On Al Khail Road (E44), traffic conditions vary from moderate to heavy, with slower-moving stretches reported between Ras Al Khor and Meydan. Congestion is also affecting sections around Business Bay and Dubai Hills.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) is experiencing slow-moving traffic from Sharjah towards Dubai, with the heaviest congestion reported near International City. Google Maps also indicates minor accidents along parts of the route.
Moderate traffic is building in some areas of Dubai South, while Emirates Road (E611) remains mostly clear, with only slower sections reported around Al Khawaneej.
Drivers are advised to allow additional travel time in areas affected by congestion, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and check live traffic updates before beginning their journeys.
